JENIN, Palestine, October 30, 2004 (IPC) - - Israeli occupation forces killed two children in less than 24 hours, during a
fresh incursion into the city and refugee camp of Jenin.
IPC correspondent in Jenin said Israeli forces shot dead 12-year-old schoolboy, Ibrahim Kmail, in front of his school in
the city.
Kmail is the second child to be killed by Israeli troops in Jenin, after Mohammed Abu Eita, 17, was shot and killed last night as he was returning to his home. Israeli
military sources claimed Abu Eita was armed when he was killed, but eyewitnesses confirmed otherwise.
The residents of Jenin defied the tight curfew imposed by the Israeli forces
since last Thursday, and took to the street to participate in the funeral procession of Abu Eita, as young children confronted the Israeli soldiers, hurling stones and empty bottles at the armored jeeps.
During the third day of the invasion of Jenin City, medical sources told our correspondent that at least seven civilians were wounded by Israeli gunfire, including three children whose injuries were
described as moderate.
In addition, Israeli soldiers conducted a wide house-to-house search campaign, during which ten civilians were arrested and taken into an undisclosed
location.
Local sources have mentioned that large Israeli forces have besieged Jenin's refugee camp and started searching houses in search of what they called wanted men,
especially commanders of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of Fateh movement.
